Hand-Engraved Alpine Game Scenes — Octagonal Barrel — Double Set Triggers — Mint Bore

Description

Here is a very unusual vintage Ferlach-made Peabody Martini hunting rifle in 5.6x50R Magnum, bearing Ferlach proof marks for 1979. It is serial number 1, probably an apprentice piece and a one-off unicorn, built to show off the maker's skills in woodworking, metalworking, and hand engraving. New old stock in mint condition with only minimal storage marks, this is an investment-grade Ferlach Gebirgsstutzer. Add this one to your collection.

Action & Metalwork

Peabody Martini single-shot action with a coin-finished receiver and furniture. The receiver carries exclusive deep-cut Alpine hunting game motifs together with English scroll decoration, all hand engraved. Fine double set triggers.

Barrels

25.0" octagonal barrel with iron open sights. The bore is in mint condition, and the action is crisp. Chambered in 5.6x50R Magnum.

Stock

Slender walnut stock with very fine, crisp hand-cut checkering. Straight English-style butt stock with recoil pad. The furniture matches the coin-finished receiver.
